Legal Advisor – Self Employed Role

We are currently looking for a self-employed Legal Advisor to assist us in our work.  The Legal Advisor will be advising all TACT regional offices and there is therefore no restriction where the Legal Advisor is physically based.  Although travel to any of TACT Panels would be rare, if there is an odd occasion and therefore a need to travel, TACT would reimburse mileage / travel expenses.

The role will include providing advice on matters referred such as adherence to legislation regarding foster care practice, data protection and access to records requests.  We also undertake assessments of applicants for Special Guardianship Orders and connected persons’ applications within court proceedings and so a wide knowledge of child care public law is required.

This is an exciting time to become involved with TACT and we believe there is no better organisation to be involved with for anyone passionate about Fostering and Adoption services.

An Enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role, which will be undertaken by TACT on your behalf.

For an information pack please contact the HR Department on 020 8695 8146 or email [email protected] quoting reference LA-TACT.

If you would like an informal discussion about the role please contact Scott Ruddock – Executive Director of Children’s Services – Wales/Midlands on 07587 654806.
