Who are the children we need foster carers for in the West Midlands?

We are recruiting foster carers all across the West Midlands, however there is a particular demand for foster carers in the following areas: Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Shropshire, Solihull, Staffordshire, Telford & Wrekin, Walsall, Warwickshire and Wolverhampton.

We would ideally like to hear from people who would like to care for children aged 5 years and over, sibling groups or children with complex needs.

We’d also particularly like to hear from people who are able to care for children who are transitioning from a residential placement back into a family unit, which we believe is a much better outcome. This is known as step down fostering – find out more about step down fostering here.

Why foster with TACT?

Foster carers come to us for many reasons and they stay with us – because we help them do the most rewarding job in the world. Together we transform the lives of children and young people, giving them the chance to lead happy, loving, fulfilled lives.

At TACT we are more than just a fostering agency; as a charity we put our foster carers and the children they care for at the heart of everything that we do.

Choosing to become a foster carer is one of the most rewarding decisions you will ever make, and we will be by your side every step of the way making sure that you feel valued, encouraged and supported – that is why 96% of our foster carers would recommend fostering with TACT.

“I love seeing the children achieve things they never thought they could.”

“My husband and I felt that we had done a good job as parents to our three children who are now all adults. We love children and we had plenty of space, so when my husband retired from the fire service we believed that the time was right to look into becoming foster carers. We chose to foster with TACT because it’s a charity and we didn’t want to feel like just a number…”
