TACT trustee Joan Lawton, has been recognised for her outstanding services to adoption in the Queen’s Birthday Honours with an OBE (Order of the British Empire).
Joan said: “I am absolutely delighted and excited to be awarded such an honour.”
A qualified social worker, Joan has been a TACT trustee since 2007 and is a member of the TACT Adoption and Permanence Panel.
TACT CEO said: “TACT are thrilled that Joan Lawton has received this honour for her longstanding commitment to adoption. Joan’s expertise and commitment has seen hundreds of children placed in excellent adoptive homes and ensured that adopters receive excellent support both pre and post adoption.
