TACT seeks foster carers at Elvis Festival

Author: TACT

Elvis loving Foster Carers inspired Welsh fostering charity The Adolescent and Children’s Trust (TACT) to have a stall at the Porthcawl Elvis Festival – September 25 – 27, in the hope they could find more people with a Big Hunk of Love to give young people who have had some Hard Knocks in their lives.

Mike Anthony Area Manager of TACT Cymru said “TACT seems to have a disproportionate number of Elvis fans among them and so there was a lot of enthusiasm from our Carers that love the Elvis Festival that TACT had a presence there so they can spread their passion for what they see as the best job in the world – fostering.”

Mike added: “There are simply not enough foster carers for all the young people who need care in Wales. We wanted to meet people at the Festival who could potentially offer real opportunities for youngsters who need to be given the chance and the right support to do well in life after a difficult start. If anyone attending the festival has a spare bedroom, understanding, patience and a sense of humour and want to change a young person’s life then please pay our stand a visit.”

TACT Cymru’s stand attracted eight potential Foster Carers over the weekend.
