Sons and Daughters Month 2022

Author: TACT Communications

October marks Sons and Daughters Month, which is an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of foster carers’ birth children within fostering households, as well as to raise awareness that having children of your own is no barrier to fostering.

Fostering is a family commitment and birth children play a crucial role in helping children and young people settle and thrive in their new home. Many foster carers tell us of the special bonds that have developed between their children and those they foster, as well as the positive impact that growing up in a fostering family has had on them.

Throughout October, we will be bringing you heart-warming stories from our foster carers and their birth children, so keep an eye out on our Carer Stories page and our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
