Foster Carers needed for unaccompanied children fleeing the Afghanistan crisis

Author: TACT Communications

Foster carers will be needed for children that have fled Afghanistan, with the present crisis likely to give way to months of displacement for many young Afghan people, TACT’s CEO Andy Elvin has told The Times.

Registering as a foster carer takes about four to five months and current applicants will be ready for the majority of unaccompanied child refugees, who will begin to arrive after taking treacherous land routes out of Afghanistan after the last airlifts from Kabul airport.
