Fostering in Salford
In and around Salford, there are many young people who cannot be looked after by their own parents. This could be because of a degree of conflict within the family, or their parents may have an illness that means that they can’t properly look after their children. Unfortunately, it could also be because they have experienced some form of abuse or neglect. Therefore TACT are recruiting foster carers in Salford to provide care and guidance to these young children.
You don’t need any previous experience or childcare qualifications. To start, you would need at least one spare bedroom, a caring and nurturing disposition – and lots of energy to provide a child with a loving home. If making a difference to a child’s is something you could do, you could join our Salford Fostering team!
TACT North West carer Karen, from Greater Manchester, discusses below why she chose to foster with TACT and what she loves about being a foster carer.
Why foster in Salford with TACT?
TACT is the UK’s largest dedicated fostering charity – enabling us to provide care for children on a national level. We reinvest any surplus income into providing more support and training for foster carers interested in fostering.
As one of the leading fostering agencies in Salford, we provide our foster parents with training and support that is local to them – to enable them to change young people’s lives. Because we reinvest surplus income, we can provide additional support over and above what is required of a fostering charity, such as a dedicated education service, health service and an online foster carer portal.
We’re more than just a fostering agency – we go above and beyond to look after our foster carers and the children they provide care for. Our TACT Connect service ensures that when children leave the care system, they have TACT’s support for life.
This is why 98% of our carers would recommend us to others thinking of fostering.
“Since day one, we have been welcomed and made to feel part of a family, the support we receive from the team is amazing.”
