TACT is the UK's largest specialist charity provider of fostering services. Our core work involves providing high quality and well supported fostering families for children and young people in the care of local authorities. Working in partnership with local authorities across England, Wales and Scotland, we are dedicated to providing creative, effective and outcome-focused services. We also campaign on behalf of care experienced children and young people, their carers and are a leading voice in the sector.
Our vision is to provide better lives for our children and young people.
At TACT we understand that leaving foster care can be a mixed bag. For some this can be a time when there is a lot of change and uncertainty. For others whilst the change may not be significant, there may still be a loss of familiar foster parents or professionals, or both. Whilst for others leaving care may feel more like a relief and a time to spread their wings.
And for these reasons we created TACT Connect. https://www.tactcare.org.uk/tact-connect/
We have created a membership scheme available to young people and adults from 16 years old onwards with a focus on connection, supporting members in easily obtaining and finding information via our online Connect Hub, and also offering experiences and additional learning. We also offer access to our Peer Mentoring Scheme, to Life Coaching Sessions and access to a Financial Grant Scheme. Whatever a young person or adults experience, we are here at TACT Connect to offer an ongoing community. We offer to celebrate good times, and to give continued support throughout difficult times.
