The overall purpose of the Senior Supervising Social Worker role is to recruit, assess, train and support a diverse range of foster carers and placements, mainly working in the Northamptonshire area initially but with the potential for duties across the TACT East Midlands region.

The successful social worker candidate will have:

  • Post qualifying experience which should be in family placement work or post qualifying experience in other child care settings.
  • A proven track record in working with and on behalf of children, respecting and maintaining their individuality and promoting their positive development.
  • DipSW, CSS or CQSW qualification.
  • Current registration with the HCPC.

You will be required to be on an out of hours’ rota and you will be paid an additional allowance of £1,500 per annum for this duty (once participating in the rota). An enhanced disclosure check is also required and will be requested for you by TACT.
