Training and development

One of the things we’re proudest of as an employer is that many of our employees stay with us for the long-term and that we are able to fill many of our senior positions from inside the charity.

TACT is an Investors in People (IIP): IIP is the national standard which sets out a level of good practice for the training and development of people in order to achieve business goals. TACT is one of 30,000 UK organisations recognised as Investors in People. We currently meet the IIP Bronze level status.

As an Investors in People, we are fully aware of the benefits to be gained by formally recognising the efforts of our staff. That's why we have an enviable record of delivering excellence in learning and development which includes:

  1. A strong culture of internal development and promotion
  2. A wide range of internal and external courses
  3. A structure of appraisals and reviews to enable personal development
  4. Annual conferences, planning days and team building events
  5. Membership of research in practice (rip) with opportunities to attend their Learning Events and other benefits
  6. Sponsorship towards a professional qualification, including day release
  7. Paid subscription to a professional body
