Fostering
Fostering is a way of providing a safe and stable home and family life for children and young people who are unable to live with their birth family. Children and young people may not be able to live with their own parents or extended family for a variety of reasons. These could include ill-health, relationship problems, family breakdown or situations where a child or young person is at risk of significant harm.
Our staff are all highly experienced and dedicated – some have been foster carers themselves. You’ll receive a high level of support from your allocated Supervising Social Worker as well as regular phone calls and visits, 24 hour, 7 days a week support, training and development, generous allowances. You will also be able to share your experience with other carer through our carers' support groups. We offer children and young people's support groups for the children of our carers too.
If you have (a) spare bedroom(s), childcare experience, understanding, patience and a sense of humour and want to change a young person’s life, read on to find out more about what TACT can offer you.
