Family Ties

Family Ties is part of TACT's Post Adoption Support Service. It is dedicated to support adopted adults, birth relatives or adopted parents regarding adoptions arranged by Family Ties and previous adoption agencies.

Family Ties was formerly known as the Phyllis Holman Richards Adoption Society, and, originally, the Memorial Centre of Help for Babies, it was active from around 1942 to 1998.

When contacting us, please provide the following basic information (as relevant to your own circumstances) to enable the most appropriate and effective response:

  • The nature of your enquiry

  • Your name (now, and, if different, at the time of the adoption)

  • Your contact details (postal address, telephone (landline/mobile), email)

  • Your relationship to the adopted person

  • The name of the adopted person (if known)

  • The date of birth of the adopted person

  • The date of the adoption (if known)
