Fostering East Midlands
The East Midlands office was opened in 1995 and moved to the present office accommodation situated in Kettering, Northamptonshire in 2003. The office is conveniently located close to the A14, which is a good link road between the A1 and M1/M6 junction and is close to public transport including the rail station. There are two social work teams (the Fens and the Shires teams) and one administration team based in our office in Kettering.
The areas we cover
- The Fens team covers: Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
- The Shires team covers: Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Bedfordshire.

We're always on the look for foster carers from all walks of life and from all areas in the East Midlands.
If you have a spare bedroom, a bit of experience with children, time and energy, then you could start a career in fostering and transform the life of some of the most vulnerable children and young people in East Midlands.
We recently ran a campaign in East Anglia. Many of our referrals come from the area especially near King's Lynn, but we haven't been able to reply to the demand.
To turn this around, we ran a radio campaign on Hearth FM Norfolk for four weeks, a printed campaign in the Eastern Daily Press (EDP) on Mondays or Tuesdays and also on the EDP website. For the radio campaign we interviewed three of our foster carers from East Anglia to give us snippets of what it's like to be a foster carer; here listen to what they say:
