Current partnerships

Since 1993, TACT is committed to working in partnership with local authority customers. With an excellent success rate of winning local authority tenders in 2008, we have built a reputation for excellence through our partnerships with more than 70 local authorities across England, Wales and Scotland. In the past year, we successfully tendered through fierce competition for a number of fostering contracts, we achieved the highest preferred provider status(again) for Birmingham and gained accredited provider status for: the South West sub region (Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Wiltshire), the West Sussex County Council and Brighton and Hove sub region.

TACT continues to develop and expand services provided through preferred/select provider arrangements for: Islington (London Borough of), Lambeth (London Borough of), Lewisham (London Borough of), Bristol CYPT, Northamptonshire County Council, the ER5 group (Essex, Hertfordshire, Thurrock, Southend and Suffolk). We also work closely with a number of other local authorities in Wales, the North West, East and West Midlands. We are accredited Pan London, Placements North West, West Midlands Childcare Consortium, South East Wales Improvement Collaborative (SEWIC) and Children’s Commissioning Support Resource (CCSR) providers.

We are currently extending our coverage across the UK, particularly in North and Mid Wales and West Yorkshire. We are still recruiting in areas where TACT already has a presence. Although TACT has been a registered adoption agency for a number of years, the service has been largely located in London. This coming year will see its expansion across the UK to help more children find permanent families.
