Current partnerships
TACT is committed to working in partnership with local authority customers. With an excellent success rate of winning local authority tenders in 2009-2010, we have built a reputation for excellence through our partnerships with more than 70 local authorities across England, Wales and Scotland. In the past year, we successfully tendered through fierce competition for a number of fostering contracts, achieving the highest preferred provider status with the West Midlands sub regional group of Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire and the North West Foster Care Framework Contract authorities (Blackpool, Bolton, Bury, Halton, Knowsley, Lancashire, Liverpool, Manchester, Rochdale, St Helens, Stockport, Trafford and Wigan), Worcestershire and Swindon.
Preferred/select provider arrangements
TACT continues to develop and expand services provided through preferred/select provider arrangements for: Birmingham, the London Boroughs of Lambeth, Lewisham and Islington, Bristol, the South West sub regional group (Bath and North East Somerset, Dorset, Gloucestershire, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire) Northamptonshire County Council and the ER5 group (Essex, Hertfordshire, Thurrock, Southend and Suffolk). We also work closely with a number of other local authorities in London and the South East, the North West, the East and West Midlands and Wales through individual authority and regional accredited provider status with the London Councils, Placements North West, West Midlands Children’s Commissioning Partnership, South East Wales Improvement Collaborative (SEWIC) and as a Children’s Commissioning Support Resource (CCSR) provider.
Expansion
We are currently extending our coverage across the UK, developing new fostering services in Scotland, North and Mid Wales and West Yorkshire. We continue to recruit foster carers in areas where TACT already has a presence and seek to provide other services to the children and families of local authorities close to our local office bases. TACT Adoption Service continues to be rolled out across the UK as we help more children find permanent families.
