Children, young people & adoption
Where do we place children
TACT's adoption service seeks to place children across the Greater London area.
Age, cultural backgrounds and other
We specialise in finding families for older children; for children from various cultural backgrounds (African, African Caribbean, Asian and dual heritage); and for children with physical and/or emotional difficulties.
Social background
These children may have spent most of their young lives in the care of social services. Their experiences may have affected their physical and emotional development.
Relevant publications
TACT Adoption has produced guides for children and young people to explain what adoption is and how it will change their lives in an easy and colourful way. The adoption guides are given to each child/young person adopted through TACT during their first week with their new adoptive family. It is a great tool for newly adoptive parents to use and sit down with their child in explaining what's happening.
