TACT CEO Andy Elvin was featured in a Guardian article about the impact of Coronavirus on the fostering sector.
The pandemic could cause huge problems for the fostering sector due to the closure of schools, the illness of foster carers and the lack of new carers.
There are also concerns that the disruption caused by local councils working remotely may affect payments to agencies and carers. Andy criticised the “radio silence” from most local authorities who are failing to reassure worried carers.
