TACT on ‘misleading’ fostering story in The Times

In August 2017, The Times published a piece with the headline ‘Christian child forced into Muslim foster care’. The story was front-page news but proved to be full of inaccuracies and wholly misrepresented the actions and intent of Tower Hamlets Council.

BBC Radio 4 The Corrections programme re-visited the Times article and interviewed key figures associated with it, including it’s author the journalist Andrew Norfolk, and TACT CEO Andy Elvin who had advised Norfolk against writing it as it would be based on seemingly false information.  A fact that proved to be true, as evidenced in the program which you can listen to here
