Support for Family Link Carers
As a Link Carer you will be offering invaluable support to children with disabilities and their families. At TACT Peterborough, our job is to provide you with the support that you need to do this to the best of your ability.
If you decide to become a Link Carer, you will receive support from TACT Peterborough in the following ways:
- An allocated social worker and the link coordinator, who will visit you regularly.
- Ongoing training and support (to find out more about training TACT provide, click here).
- Advice from a network of professionals.
- Out of hours support available 24/7.
- Financial assistance.
We’re looking for people who are able to spend quality time with these children and involve them in everyday activities at home or within their community.
As a Retained Link Carer with TACT Peterborough, you will be paid in recognition of the skilled and demanding work you carry out.
You will receive payments for:
- Overnight care
- Day care
- Transport costs
